If you’re looking for an inspirational speaker for your next event, Media King Director Kylie King has a unique story to tell with her background as a television sports reporter.
As part of the Network Ten Sport Production Team since 2003, Kylie has covered events such as the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, V8 Supercar Championship, Bathurst 1000, Australian Rally Championship and Moto GP. Kylie has also travelled to the United States for a feature story on Moto Cross star Chad Reed for motorsport program RPM. Kylie has interviewed sporting stars ranging from Valentino Rossi, Mark Webber and Casey Stoner to World Rally drivers Chris Atkinson and Sebastian Loeb. Kylie has also been a “pit reporter”, covering live action during selected V8 Supercar races and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
Kylie has also spent time as Communications Manager at the AFL Players’ Association and as a Sports Reporter in Ten’s Melbourne newsroom, covering the Australian Open Tennis, AFL matches and finals and at times presenting the nightly sports bulletin in the absence of Stephen Quartermain.
It continues to be an enduring career in a traditionally male dominated industry, and is an example of what can be achieved with passion, determination and a winning mindset.
